In the picture, it showed the different magnification as 5x, 10x, etc. but when it came in, it was listed as 1x, 2x, 3x. I called the company and they said the smaller the number the bigger the magnification. I told them to change the picture to reflect the true eye loupes. Its not a bad product just should be depicted in the picture so that you're not left wondering what you had ordered.

The range of eye loupes were very attractive to me as I evaluate a wide range of products in the antique industry. All of them are well constructed and do exactly what I need them to do.

These are lightweight, simple, effective, and unbeatable for the price. A product that just 'does what it says on the box' - I will only need to use these occasionally but when I do, I'll be very glad to have them.

The product title says, "Watchmakers Set of 5 Eye Loupe." On the box it says, "Eye Glass Plastic Set Of Five." The product title is very misleading. This set is made of plastic from India. These are definitely not watchmaker's tools.

A nice set of lenses at a good price Nov 29, 2011

They aren't fancy, with their plastic lenses, but this is a very nice set of lenses at an affordable price. I admit that I wanted to solve some issues in working with small objects, and I ordered a visor magnifier and some hand held loupes together with these eye loupes, but this set sits very credibly in my tool set. I like the versatility of the magnifying powers that these loupes offer, they are light in weight and easy to wear like a monocle, and I believe they give just about as clear a view as any loupes that I have used, which have been quite a few. In the set that I received, I cannot find any problem with distortion, bubbles, or anything else. Of course, as the power increases, the depth of focus shortens, but that is true even with the best glass magnifiers. If I need more loupes at any time, I will happily get more of these. They do the job very well.
