This is a great band, just what I was looking for. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that the spring mechanism could be a little heavier. but BRAVO!!

I was given a big ugly yellow Croton watch as a gift when I graduated college. The watch itself was triangle-shaped, the face had a pattern on it like it was a throwback to the "Laugh-In" days, with a giant, thick yellow leather band in alligator grain. The longer I wore the watch (out of necessity), I began to love it more and more, and it became a part of my identity--realizing this when people would ask where it went if I didn't have it on. When the yellow watchband had seen better days, I discovered the manufacturer, Croton, didn't have a replacement that I could purchase. After seeing this band on Amazon, I knew I had to jump at the chance. Not knowing much about watches, I had to send it back twice due to sizing. First, I guesstimated 18mm when it's 20mm, and secondly when there was a quick release pin on the back of the band. Which would be a nice feature if this were a "normal" watch. My requirements needed a plain band, without the quick release to accommodate for cutting into the band to make the watch fit. Long story short, Watchmaterial was excellent at serving my needs and didn't fuss about the two returns. The band itself is a great replacement to the original--bright yellow color, alligator grain, and fits nicely. Highly recommend!
