JUNK !!! Aug 22, 2010 What a piece of junk. Tried to push a link pin out and the push pin snapped off
not even much pressure. Tried to remove the broken pin and it broke off in the handle
I got the HEAVY DUTY one so I would not have these problems. I hate to see what the others are like .
DO NOT BUY THIS you have been warned
I wanted to ship it back but is not worth the effort
Great Time Saver Jul 31, 2010 I love this thing! It's quick and easy to use and very simple. I'm so glad I don't need to try and do this the old way with a needle and tiny hammer. Used it to size both a men's and woman's band.
Smart buy if you like watches Apr 23, 2010 I bought this along with a watch for a anniversary present for my husband. He loves watches and I give him a new one every years for our anniversary. At the mall to fix the band is over $5.00. Buying this has been super smart as is saving us money. Every time he gets a watch he fits the band himself, not only that he fit the band for several friends that were not wearing watches because it was to big to wear and never got around to fix it. If I would of charged everyone he helped with this cool tool I would have made$50.00 by now. Practical!
Link Pin Remover Apr 21, 2010 Pros:
This Product does the job. Low cost and I didn't have to pay a watch repair specialist $20.00 to do it. Make sure you do it on a clean surface so you do not lose any part(s). Received this item via Usps in a few days as standard.
Cons:
It's 95% plastic. It's a little rickety because it is plastic, but it still does the job nicely. If you are a professional watch or jewelry repair, this product may not make it past a few dozen customers so buy a couple extras if you plan on going the cost efficient route
Great for the price! Apr 06, 2010 Received this handy little tool April 2, 2010. I've used it three times and have had no problem with it. I have re-sized 3 watches so far, which would've cost me $45.00 at the watch shop, compared to $6.00 spent for this tool. I think its great investment.
Yes its cheap, what do you expect for $6.00, still its already saved me $39.00. I have no complaints, it works as advertised. As for breaking when I use it, I don't see it happening, re-sizing a watch is a simple process. The tool also comes with 4 extra pins if I do break one. As for me, I can follow simple, easy to understand instructions. If you want to save money and can read, this is the money saving device for you. If you have no clue, don't order this or any type of tool as you don't need to be operating a tool of any sort, you'll just hurt yourself or break your tool!
